Mr & Mrs Hulme - Hedon

Nearly eight years ago, Mr & Mrs Hulme invested in their first Mulberry kitchen for their new country home in Hedon. This solid pine, country style concept was ideal for the house, the layout was perfect to work in and all was well until - fashions change, styles evolve and pine changes colour!

Jackie had a dilemma - she would love a new light, bright kitchen but how could the expense be justified when there was nothing wrong structurally or ergonomically wrong with what she had (except that pine!)

A visit to our showroom provided the answer - a TV type makeover. Not just to swap a few doors - oh no - a professional transformation completed with the utmost care.

We removed anything pine that would show - the doors, cornice, pelmets, wine rack etc and then overlaid a special "in-frame" painted oak door system with tongue and groove panels to cover the existing pine carcases, replaced the necessary units, added a new built in microwave and generally worked a little Mulberry magic. As you can see, the floor, worktops, tiles and decor were undisturbed - Result!

"I didn't want to move anything, but we all like a change. Now it's fantastic, it looks like a hand-built kitchen - I so like the glazed doors - I like everything about it. Steve the fitter was marvellous, nothing was too much trouble and I've ended up with a brand new kitchen at a fraction of the cost."
