Douglas
and Deirdre H of Beverley
This
month we feature the possible consequences of a burst pipe.
When
Deirdre and Douglas moved into their bungalow, the existing Mulberry
kitchen required a bit of "Tweaking" to suit their own
lifestyle. A new Aga, some different cabinetry and doors etc.
The alterations were duly completed and all was well. That is,
until Deirdre noticed water appearing from under her dishwasher.
Mulberry's
dedicated plumber Martin was despatched immediately to investigate.
The problem lay in a copper pipe, buried in the concrete floor
which had been leaking for a number of years. Over time, the entire
sub-floor had become soaked through until the water eventually
appeared above ground.
To
cut a long story short, our poor clients had to move out, Mulberry
removed their lovely kitchen, appliances and granite worktops
then builders had to dig out the floors of the kitchen and utility
room down to the foundations before installing a new suspended
wooden floor. Mulberry refitted their kitchen and utility room
including replacement Karndean floor coverings throughout.
When
the dust had settled, our client had this to say;
"Mulberry
was superb, it is amazing that everything went back so successfully,
and nothing went wrong. We
couldn't conceive that it could be completed within 4 weeks -
it was a very good achievement, a very smooth operation all together."
Our
heart-felt thanks to Mr & Mrs H. for those kind words.
