Margaret
and Fred, Burton Pidsea.
This month we proudly feature a white high gloss kitchen totally
dedicated to the perfection of real cooking.
We have had to utilise every inch of space to enable the inclusion
of Margaret’s extensive wish list (and her mammoth collection
of cookery books) resulting in our poor photographer having to use
a fish-eye lens to get it all in!
So, let me tell you about the specification – 2 Britannia
Sigma ovens with a “chef’s top” gas hob. The steam
oven, combination microwave oven and extractor are all by Neff.
The black Getacore solid surfaces benefit from the insertion of
a 60mm thick slab of “Blizzard white” Caeserstone. This
perfect pastry area visually balances the superb Blanco corner-module
sink, which even has an instant boiling water tap.
Two capacious swing-out larders are further augmented by the huge
Whirlpool fridge-freezer and, wherever possible, large drawers provide
immediate access for anything needed to keep this busy cook’s
regime on course.
Should
husband Fred be seconded to washing up duties, we have judiciously
placed the innovative Fisher and Paykel dishwashing drawers conveniently
opposite the 2 wine chilling cabinets! Another example of Mulberry
caring for family harmony!

As
with many of our clientele, their initial visit to our studio was
by way of personal recommendation (thank you Mrs Curtis) and I am
so pleased to share Margaret’s impression of us -
“John
at Mulberry gave me such confidence - he would do what I wanted
to do. Everything in here is for ease of working – the Britannia
ovens - the raised preparation area – so good for my back.
The “hot steaming tap” is absolutely brill and the split
drawer dishwasher was a great move - so easy to fill - and it doesn’t
smell!
The kitchen’s a joy to work in and it keeps itself clean.”
Thank you so much to Margaret and Fred although I’m not too
sure about the self-cleaning kitchen – Trading Standards could
be a wee problem! |
