MR
& MRS R of EAST YORKSHIRE
For
December we are featuring a very highly specified kitchen - every
labour saving device of quality has been included for this discerning
and very private client. Many times we are asked for more information
on the appliances that we put into our fabulous kitchens so this
month I intend to devote our page to a more detailed description
of what can be provided by Mulberry. As always, many more views
of this unique project can be viewed on our website.
Today
we present bespoke walnut doors, complemented perfectly by "Panna
Fragola" granite which was also fashioned into a substantial
decorative support under the solid walnut breakfast bar.
The
refrigeration is provided by the fabulous Fisher and Paykel "Goliath"
- huge fridge storage with innovative freezer drawers below then
we sneaked in a narrow wine chiller beneath the wine racking. The
integrated dishwasher drawers are also by Fisher and Paykel and
may be viewed as a working display at our National Avenue studio.
Neff
was chosen for their coffee machine, steam oven, combi -microwave
and multifunction oven whilst Atag provided the unique induction
hob with integral gas wok burner.
Even
the undermounted stainless steel sink has every feature - Franke
tap with pull out spray facility, soap dispenser, waste disposal
unit and the wonderful Quooker instant boiling water dispenser.
As
always, lighting plays a major part of good kitchen design and this
is no exception - an interesting switchable pattern of ceiling down-lighting
brings to life the doors and surfaces to suit any mood whilst the
addition of plinth lighting cleverly illuminates the textures of
the travertine marble floor. . Even the pan drawers and base units
have been fitted with lighting to automatically activate when opened
and, at the risk of being boring, I must also enthuse about the
ball of light created by the crystal Elica "Star" cooker
hood straight from "Grand Designs."
Anyway,
as always, the final words from our client for once surprised me
" Geoff, we love our new kitchen but my favourite thing is
the Quooker tap!"
Merry
Christmas and a happy New Year to all, Geoff & Colleen and all
at Mulberry. |
